Veho VFS-008 Smartfix Slide & Negative Scanner with Lith-ion Battery

The Veho VFS-008 Smartfix Slide & Negative Scanner will bring your 35mm and 110mm film negative and slide collection to life by transforming them into digital files and save directly to SD card – without the need for a PC. 

What's more, the Smarfix scanner is also powered using the built-in rechargeable battery making it the fastest, easiest way to transfer your entire collection directly to digital.

Once saved to SD card you can playback images on a digital photo frame, a television using the video output connection, your mobile phone, computer, or take them to be printed!

The VFS-008 scanner also includes a 2GB SD memory card – enough to store 2000 images.

Q: Do I need a computer to convert my slides and negatives to digital?
A: No. This product will scan and copy your slides and negatives directly to the SD card supplied, using the built-in SD card reader.  However, this product also has a USB-out connection and comes supplied with a USB lead so you can connect it to a PC or MAC and ‘drag’ images saved on the SD card to your computer

Q: Will this work with a Mac and a PC?
A: Yes. This will work with both a PC and a Mac

Q: Does this product come supplied with any image editing software?
A: It comes Colourbright Media impression software and user manual

Q: How is this product powered?
A: Via the computers USB 2.0 port, or by using the rechargeable battery (a World's first!)
 
Q: What is the resolution of the image once scanned?
A: 5 mega pixel: the quality of the scan is equivalent to the resolution you would achieve if you took a digital photograph with a 5Mega Pixel camera

Q: How many images will a 2GB SD card store?
A: 2000 images at 2520 x 1680 pixels per image.

Q: What kind of memory cards is this compatible with?
A: ALL SD, SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) up to 8GB, and micro SD Cards with an appropriate adapter

Q: Can I use this as an SD card reader?
A: Yes. Connect the scanner to a computer using the supplied USB cable and drag any saved images (or other files) from the card onto your hard drive
