The instructions have to be read well before installing. The VHS, HDD and DVD all recorded well by instantaneous and timed recording. When playing DVDs the clarity 0f the pictures are very sharp and clear,excellent.

so far so good as far as it does what it says on the box, although some of the instructions are a bit vague for some of the functions. Have successfully copied VHS tape to the hard drive and just need to re write or dubb to DVD.Have found recording to hard drive and DVDS easy now I have recordable DVDS that I already had which worked. (TDK DVD+R) These were on the list in the machine instructions. Also not sure about copying camcorder tapes yet as taken from quite an old machine. Will hopefully figure that out as mostly bought this machine to capture the tapes of our children when they were little over 20 years ago. Thanks Diane Bird

Pleased with the product but had to use with a TV with built in Freeview as it is not possible to record one channel whilst watching another otherwise.
