Ion Tape Express Tape-to-MP3 USB Recorder

The Ion Tape Express allows you to convert your audio tapes into digital files (MP3) on your computer which can then be stored, transferred on to your iPod or burned to CD.

If you have lots of old tapes from the 70's, 80's & early 90's, but no longer own a tape casette player, the Tape Express from Ion is ideal.

This tape-to-MP3 recorder can either run on batteries, or USB power, enabling you to play and transfer music wherever you may be. 

Simply plug the Tape Express into your computer (via USB cable), insert your audio tape into the cassette player, press play & record, and using the included EZ Tape Converter software, begin converting old tapes to MP3 files.

You can even use the audio output to connect the Tape Express to your hi-fi or other speaker systems.

A: The included audacity software will do this

A: Yes, Tape Express is fully compatible with the new Windows 7 operating system

Q: Can this product be used as a 'normal' tape player?
A: Yes, you can use Tape Express to listen to your tape collection without having to convert them to MP3

Q: Does the unit record direct to PC?
A: Yes, that is correct

Q: Do you need an internet/broadband connection?
A: No connection is necessary. All software comes included. The only reason you may need a connection is if you have a very old version of i-Tunes (5.0 or older), thus when trying to import songs, if your i-Tunes is out-dated you maybe prompted via the internet to download the latest version. However, please contact Ion technical help (01252 896 000) for guidance on this issue. Depending on the problem, they may be able to send you an update CD (free of charge) to make your version of i-Tunes compatible
