Q: What are the operating instructions?
A: When the indicator window is blue the unit is ready to use – simply place the unit in a suitable location where it will absorb moisture rom the surrounding area. The unit will increase in weight as it gathers moisture. When the unit is full, the indicator window will become pink. Move the unit to a well ventilated area, plug in the unit and recharge until the indicator windows returns to blue. The dehumidifier is now ready for use again

Q: How long will the unit last between recharging?
A: Depending on the volume of air and the amount of moisture in the surrounding area the unit will last 3 to 4 months between recharging

Q: What is the active element in this unit?
A: The unit contains Silica gel also known as water glass or sodium silicate.  It is colourless, odourless and non-toxic and will not release moisture back into the air until the unit is recharged

Q: How long does a recharge take?
A: Depending on how much moisture has been absorbed the unit may take up to 24 hours to recharge fully

Q: How much water will it absorb?
A: Between 230ml and 285ml of water

Q: Is it fully safety tested?
A: Yes, with full RoHS, CE and WEEE compliance, plus the unit is doubly insulated

Good value for money. But design is difficult as the recharge is through the base of the unit which needs to be kept upright during the process; this means it needs to straddle 2 piles of books in order to insert cable as well as keep the unit upright.
