Slide scanner convenient for Middle Eastern holidays?

A slide scanner could prove useful for those about to go to the Middle East on holiday.

According to Nadine Hallak, a spokeswoman for cheapflights.co.uk, the destination is experiencing a rise in popularity at the moment.

Dubai saw a lull in visitors after its recession hit the headlines, but holidaymakers returned once the emirate reduced its hotel prices, she explained.

"Abu Dhabi also went up in popularity last year with the launch of Formula 1 and the recent publicity from Sex and the City II," Ms Hallak said.

Furthermore, figures recently released by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority revealed the emirate experienced a 16 per cent increase in the number of people staying at its hotels between July 2009 and 2010.

And individuals planning on flying to the destination may wish to purchase a digital film scanner in order to transfer their holiday memories from negatives or slides into digital format upon their return.
